Understanding the new Little League/USA Baseball Bat Rule for the upcoming 2018 season can be difficult. Hopefully, we can help provide information to make it more clear and to simplify new standard.
It can all be summed up by saying that starting January 1, 2018, all baseball bats (does NOT include softball) at the Little League age levels (12 and under) MUST have the "USABat" logo or marking affixed to the bat to be legal for play. Here is what that logo should look like on the new bats:
While LSTAA does not participate in a league that is an official League League affiliate, our league (the LPWH) does defer to the official Little League Rules and Bat Standards regarding what bats are able to be used in games.
