LSTAA Partners with Middletown Legion

Thanks to the Middletown American Legion Post 594, the Stars & Stripes is back flying high at Memorial Baseball Field.  The Legion was responsible for donating the new pole and flag in time for Opeing Day. The American Flag is back and flying high above the Little Hollywood Field Complex.  LSTAA thanks the American Legion for their generosity and gift in making this project happen.

New Bat Rule Coming for Baseball in 2018

In August of 2015, Little League International adopted USA Baseball’s new standard for bat performance testing.  Because the LPWH League in which we are affiliated follows Little League International rules and regulations regarding legal bats for game play, this means that effective January 1, 2018, all bats must meet USA Baseball’s standards, and you won’t see Little League branding on permitted bats. Teener C Team Wins League Championship

The Middletown Mudcat Teener C Rec Team (13 year olds) won the East Shore Teener League C championship last evening beating Hershey by a 23-18 score.  All Middletown teener teams are made up of both players from LSTAA and the MABA organizations.  This year, the C team finished the season with a 16-4 record claiming the league championship in slugfest fashion.  Congratulations to coach Wagner and the entire Teener C team as they brought the championship back to Middletown!  Great job boys!

Memorial Field Scoreboard Project Completed

Thanks to a sponsorship by Sheetz, Inc. and approval of park and recreation funds by the Lower Swatara Township Board of Commissioners, the installation of an electronic scoreboard at Memorial Field is underway.  If all goes well, the sign should be operational by the end of the week.  LSTAA would like to thank the township commissioners, the township park and recreation workers, Ian's Electrical Contracting, and Sheetz for making this project a reality! 

LPWH All Stars Announced

The LPWH announced the White and Blue All Star Team rosters today and the following Lower Swatara Major Team boys were selected: Nate Kinsey Anthony Stains Braelan Huber Alex Monroig The LPWH enters two teams into the Susquehanna Valley All Star Tournament and the Haps Boyer All Star Tournament.  Both are played in the central PA region against other all star teams from the Majors (ages 11-12) level.  Congratulations to these 4 baseball players and best of luck in the upcoming All Star Tournaments
