The LSTAA Association meeting originally scheduled for Dec. 9th has been moved to Friday, Dec. 12th at 6:30 p.m. at the Lower Swatara Township Building. While this is a regularly scheduled voting meeting of the association, it is open to all our LSTAA families who want to learn more about the association and how you can get involved. If you can make it, we’d love to have you come out and learn more about how the association runs and operates.
For more information contact Jason Wagner at: President@lstaa.org
LSTAA would like to wish all our families and friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are thankful for you all and before too long it will be time to register for the 2015 season. Earlybird online registration will be opening soon. Please check back with us soon.
LSTAA in conjunction with the township public works department began a major field rahabilitation project late this summer which will continue into the fall. The association purchased some clay bricks which were installed at the Memorial Field batter’s boxes and pitchers mounds. Additionally, the township has regraded the field in order to make it safer by removing the “lips” that have built up over years. We are very excited about this project and plan to do similar clay brick installations at Woodridge, Steppe, Cross and Shopes in the months ahead.
LSTAA would like to thank the Lower Swatara Township Commissioners and the workers of the public works department for helping us complete this project.
This fall, LSTAA is organizing teams for a fall baseball league. Teams will be formed at the 8-9 level and a 10-12 level. Playing ages are determined by the age you will be as of April 30, 2015 (next year). Players will be playing 8-10 games over the months on September and October with games predominantly on Saturdays and/or Sundays. Practices will start in August and frequency will be determined by the coach of the team after talking with the team parents. A fee may be charged for participation in order to cover umpire and uniform fees.
If you are interested in playing fall baseball or have more questions, contact either Jason Wagner at email@example.com or Mark Imler at VPBaseball@lstaa.org ASAP. We like to have our teams formed and commitments made by Tuesday, August 5.
More information will be forthcoming regarding possible Fall Softball Teams at the fast and slow pitch levels.
LSTAA wishes all our families a wonderful and safe 4th of July holiday. We celebrate America, its indepedence, and of course the great game of baseball and softball.
